Colin Malone

Colin brings over two decades of experience in the technology industry, with a career rooted in Chicago. He started at a prominent consulting firm before advancing to a leadership role at a major technology provider, where he excelled as a front-line seller and eventually became VP/GM of a region. Now, as the leader of C3 Technology Advisors’ consulting practice, Colin leverages his deep industry expertise to drive strategic growth and deliver impactful solutions. 

Colin’s passion for technology found new depth when a client introduced him to The Phoenix Project by Gene Kim, George Spafford, and Kevin Behr. The book illuminated the essential role of IT as a strategic partner to business, especially in supporting critical applications and aligning with broader business goals. This insight highlights Colin’s own mindset when conversing with IT leaders, allowing him to help translate from technology to business, and vice versa. 

 Outside of work, Colin lives in Chicago’s vibrant Andersonville neighborhood with his wife and two children. Together, they love exploring new restaurants and never miss an opportunity to catch a Cubs game. Music also plays a central role in their family life, whether they’re attending concerts or enjoying a vinyl record session that often turns into lively dance parties at home.
