Steven is a seasoned account manager with a rich background in the technology sector, having made the transition from door-to-door sales in 2015. His early career, selling home phones and tech products on a commission-only basis, taught him the value of hard work and a deep understanding of client needs. Since joining C3 in 2020, Steven has found his true passion in technology, using his diverse experiences to build lasting and meaningful relationships with clients. His journey has shaped him into a dedicated professional who is committed to helping businesses thrive through innovative tech solutions.
One aspect of technology that particularly fascinates Steven is artificial intelligence. While he's excited by the possibilities AI offers, he’s also mindful of its risks if misused. Steven is committed to ensuring that his clients not only leverage AI to enhance their operations but also understand how to mitigate any potential negative impacts.
During his time at C3, Steven is especially proud of his work with a local Grand Rapids manufacturing client. Since coming on board, he has played a key role in their digital transformation—overhauling their network, improving their cybersecurity, and managing their phone and internet services. Through his guidance, Steven has become a trusted advisor, and the trust his clients place in him speaks to the meaningful impact he has made.
When reflecting on his time at C3, Steven describes it as "fruitful" due to the focus on building strong, genuine relationships. He acknowledges that earning trust takes time, but moments when clients move from initially overlooking his advice to asking, “How did we manage without you?” is what makes his work truly rewarding.
On the personal side, Steven has been married to his best friend, Kara, since 2013. Together, they’ve embraced an adventurous life, having spent five years in California before returning to Michigan. While balancing their careers and raising their two children, Peyton and Jaxon, can be challenging, Steven and Kara prioritize date nights and staying intentional in their relationship. Steven is also a proud father who enjoys seeing the dynamic between his kids and takes seriously his role in raising them to be kind, responsible members of society.
