As the first employee hired at C3 Technology Advisors in 2012, Tim has witnessed the company's remarkable transformation since its inception. He takes immense pride in his role and contributions to its growth and success. Tim's professional journey also includes co-founding SIM West MI, where he actively engages with the West MI community and fosters valuable connections with technology executives.
Tim finds the constant change and evolution in how people utilize technology to be fascinating. He recalls that when he first started at C3, discussions revolved primarily around MPLS, and 1GB DIA circuits were a significant topic of conversation, while cloud services and UCaaS were rarely mentioned. “Looking back, it's astonishing to see the various hype cycles the industry has experienced and how rapidly technology is evolving to where we are today,” he reflects. Tim notes that the trends we discuss today will likely seem outdated in just 2-3 years as new innovations emerge and come to life.
As the first employee, Tim proudly holds the title of 'OG,' symbolizing his significant contributions to the company's growth and evolution. This title represents not only his rewarding journey but also the impact he has made along the way.
Outside of work, Tim has built a fulfilling life in Grand Rapids, MI, with his wife, Stephanie, recently celebrating 14 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they are proud parents of two amazing kids, Charlee and Hudson, and Tim enjoys being a godfather to three. As a combat veteran, he proudly served 15 months in Iraq from 2006 to 2007, a commitment he wears with pride.
Tim is also a dedicated sneakerhead, humorously calling himself a self-appointed Nike ambassador. When he's not indulging in his passion for bourbon, you can often find him on the golf course, where he lightheartedly claims, “I’m not the worst golfer,” admitting, “Golf is hard.”
When asked to describe his time at C3 in one word, Tim responds, “Dope!” He feels fortunate to work with some of the most amazing and fun individuals he has ever met. While there are challenging days, Tim embraces them as essential parts of this incredible journey and is grateful to be where he is in life today when he considers his life’s journey thus far.
